President Alexander Van der Bellen arrived in Palestine on Tuesday on an his first official visit to Palestine.
Bellen was received at the presidential headquarters in the central occupied West Bank city of Ramallah by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
The President briefed the Austrian President on the latest developments in the Palestine and developments in the political process.
President Abbas pointed to the importance of electing the State of Palestine as the Chairman of the 77+ Group of China, stressing that it firmly rooted the status of Palestine as an significant country at the international level, praised Austria’s support for the Palestinian people, and stressed the importance of the bilateral relations between the Palestinian and Austrian peoples and the necessary to promote the relation between both states.
