Fatah in Egypt marked the 54th Anniversary of the launch of the Palestinian liberation revolution and Fatah movement, at Al-Azhar Conference Centre in Nasr City-Cairo, on Friday January 4th.
The event began with the Palestinian and Egyptian national anthems, reciting verses from the Holy Quran, reading of Al-Fatihah for the Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic worlds, and a documentary film about the Palestinian liberation revolution, which launched on 1 january1965.
Speeches were delivered by Dr. Muhammad Gharib Secretary General of the Fatah movement in Egypt, Dr. Haidar al-Jubouri director for Palestinian affairs at Arab League, as well as the speech of Fatah Central Committee member Dr. Samir Al-Rifai On behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas.
The commemoration was attended by, A number of Arab ambassadors of friendly states, members of the Egyptian parliament, members of diplomatic corps, representatives of the Egyptian political parties, as well as some of the Palestinian community in Egypt, the cadres and members of the “Fatah”, and a huge crowd.
The commemoration included a number of artworks, such as the Palestinian songs which sung by the Egyptian band Elawela Balady, The Palestinian artist Gamal Al-Najjar sung a number of revolutionary songs, and The Palestinian folklore ”Dabke” by the Faluja.
